Our Alternative to Timber Sash window is designed and built to replicate the appearance of traditional timber sliding sash windows. The windows incorporate the following features;

  • "Timber-Look" mechanical joints to both the frame and sash
  • 'Run-through' sash horns
  • Slim profiles
  • Traditional narrow meeting rail
  • Traditional deep bottom rail

All of which combines to create the most authentic-looking Alternative to Timber Sash window.

Alternative to Timber Sash Windows

Modern counterbalancing techniques (spiral balances) allow the sashes to glide up and down whilst the additional feature of inward-tilting means the outer face of the sashes is easily accessible for cleaning.

Timber Alternative Sash Windows

They are double-glazed (achieving an "A" energy rating) and fully weather protected with all-round wool-pile seals.

The window ironmongery comprises lockable catches, limit stops, finger pulls and tilt latches – all available in a range of different colours.

Astragal bars can be added to create Georgian or Victorian designs.

These windows are available in both smooth and wood-grain foiled finishes and in a variety of different colours and wood effects to suit the building. Dual colour finishes are also available.
